Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy & Polarity Therapy

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Please note:  I combine Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Internal Family Systems, Somatic Trauma Resolution, and Attachment work, and do not offer just craniosacral therapy on its own.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle form of hands-on, energy-based therapeutic bodywork. It involves "listening with the hands" to the body's subtle rhythms, energy, and movement patterns, while supporting the body's self-healing and self-regulating capabilities.

The work is very gentle and non-invasive. Subtle suggestions are introduced through the practitioner's hands to help resolve issues and restore balance in areas that have been affected by stress, injury, or emotional holding. Through this process, the person's connection with their inner healing resources are strengthened, fostering a deep replenishment in body, mind, and spirit.

Craniosacral therapy offers a whole-person approach to healing. The inter-connections of mind, body and spirit are acknowledged, as well as how the body reflects experiences and retains the memory of trauma. It is an effective form of treatment for a wide range of illnesses, helping to create the optimal conditions for health, encouraging vitality, and facilitating a sense of well-being.

Polarity Therapy

Please note:  I combine Polarity Therapy with Internal Family Systems, Somatic Trauma Resolution, and Attachment work, and do not offer just Polarity bodywork on its own.

Polarity Therapy is an integrative approach that brings together hands-on energy-based bodywork with movement, sound, inner process, and diet. Polarity asserts that the flow and balance of energy in the human body is the foundation of physical, emotional, and spiritual good health.

When energy is unbalanced, blocked, or fixed due to stress or other factors, then pain, illness, or emotional and psychological issues may arise. Polarity Therapy fosters health and healing by helping the energy in the body regain its free movement and flow, and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Polarity Therapy was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone, DO, DC, ND (1890-1981).  Dr. Stone studied and drew upon information from a wide range of sources, including Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Naturopathy, Ayurveda, and Chine Medicine. From this background, he incorporated many different treatment approaches into Polarity Therapy, giving Polarity a wide scope of practice, and offering many angles for treatment.
